Greetings!
As we look forward to Philip Perry’s 100th Birthday celebration we can look back on this past year with a great deal of pride for all that we as a chapter have accomplished.
Our annual Flag Day luncheon was a success with a speaker from the Staff of the Honor flights. We have been able to sponsor four Honor Flight recipients this year and look forward to continuing donations to this worthy cause. Once again with Jo Compton’s initiative we had a flag display in memory of relatives and ancestors. This year the impressive display was at the Rockledge City Hall.
In November we hosted the Red, White and Blue card party. We participated in celebrating Constitution week and the Last Naval Battle and provided table decorations for the George Washington’s Birthday luncheon.
We had an awards tea which honored winners of the Good Citizens Award as well as the winners of the American History Essay Contest. We also had other wonderful programs and speakers throughout the year.
At The Florida State Conference in Orlando we received numerous awards in many categories. You should all be proud of these awards.
As we continue to participate in community activities let us all make our 100th birthday celebration a wonderful experience.
